Reminds me of the Mechanicus from 40k and the Children of the Atom from Fallout. I feel like there is a lot of mileage here for both humour and horror haha.

Now that I think of it, one can inject humour or horror (or both) virtually everywhere. Let's call it HURROUR!

I absolutely love this! I finished a book recently, "Strange Practice" by Vivian Shaw, that sees a cult of serial killers and monster murderers worshipping an old train transformer as the voice of God. This reminded me of that book.

That's the one! Vampires, demons, etc all so far mostly devoid of romance but full of science and excellent characters. I am awaiting my library to get the next book.
