Z.I.N.E. Issue 2026.02 is Here!
Hi everyone,
I was honestly blown away by the response to the inaugural issue last month. Thank you so much to everyone who downloaded, read, and shared it. The feedback was incredibly encouraging, and it motivated me to get right back to the keyboard.
I’m thrilled to announce that Issue 2026.02 is now live!
We are sticking to the philosophy that started this whole experiment: no fluff, just usable tools and table-ready concepts. This month, we’re leaning a little darker and a little grittier.
Here is a peek at what’s inside:
Mechanics: A deep dive into Call of Cthulhu’s “Push Roll” and how to make failure interesting in any system.
Settings: We explore Krevon, a world where the fire is cold and the steel is brittle.
GM Tools: A guide on how to stop hoarding secrets and start giving your players the info they need to act.
The Parasitic City: How to build the ruthless “boomtowns” that spring up around megadungeons.
Wild Hexes: We’re turning the Manticore from a random encounter into a terrifying landlord of the wilderness.
Whether you’re looking to refine your pacing or just need a nasty monster to drop on your party, I hope you find something here that sparks an idea for your next session.
You can grab the PDF right now over on Itch.io. I’m already brainstorming for March, so enjoy the read, and let me know what you think!

As a professional Technical Writer, this document is beautiful.
But I haven't finished the first one yet...
FWIW, I'm using the epub version on my ereader. In that version, the headings end up rather large compared to the article text. Not a dealbreaker by any means. Looking forward to this one (after I finish the first).
